Youth Scholarship Information

Partners with Youth

No child is ever denied participation at the YMCA because of inability to pay. Nearly 4000 individual scholarships were awarded for Youth Membership and Programs last year. These scholarships were made possible through the generosity of more than 700 individuals and businesses. In 2017, YMCA Volunteers raised more than $189,000 to keep up with the YMCA’s growing scholarship commitment. 100% of each contribution will be used for Youth Scholarships. If you would like more information on YMCA Youth Scholarships funded through the YMCA Partners with Youth Campaign, please contact the YMCA CEO, Dorry Foster at or 509-662-2109.

Youth Scholarships

Youth scholarships are available for both membership and program fees. Forms may be picked up at the Membership Services Desk or download a youth scholarship form below.

Program Subsidies

The Wenatchee Valley YMCA provides services to all those who need them regardless of ability to pay by setting fees at rates affordable to a majority of residents in its service area and providing financial assistance to those for whom YMCA fees are not affordable. The Open Door Membership program provides a YMCA membership for a reduced fee and the YMCA Therapy Swim program has been offered free to the community for more than 60 years. Please call us for more information on Financial Assistance. Youth program subsidies are made possible by contributions, a United Way allocation, endowment earnings, and volunteer services.
